The Nurses undertake wound care and dressings, removal of stitches, freezing warts and verrucae, routine and travel immunisations, also contraceptive advice, cervical smears, new patient checks, blood pressure and urine checks, diabetes monitoring, advice on diet, on smoking cessation and on menopausal problems. | |
They also perform well-person checks and run special clinics such as asthma advice and education, Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) Clinics and a Teenage Clinic.
If you are going to be travelling abroad, requiring travel immunisations, please
contact the Practice Nurses well in advance of your date of travel so that they
can ensure that you are properly immunised before you leave. For general

| Sarah Holmes runs a minor ailment/injury clinic, for example dealing with chest
and urine infections, sore throats and women’s problems (except breast lumps). Sarah has undertaken a course which enables her to see children and babies. Hypertension and heart failure is also managed by our Nurse Practitioner. |

| Caroline Stapleton, Rozelle Lower and Kathy Alford provide a support service to
the Practice Nurses by taking blood samples, weight, ECG’s, and blood pressure
and urine checks.
