From Monday 6 April 2020 our Dispensary will be open:

Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm.

Please bear in mind staff are working through the high volume of incoming medication requests and queries.         We thank you for your support and understanding.

Dispensary Update - 26/03/2020 15.30

Medication Supply Issues

Our medication suppliers are experiencing on-going staff shortages which have impacted on our medicine deliveries. Currently only partial orders are arriving.

The practice would like to encourage those patients who do not take advantage of our monthly ordering system to use this, and order their next month’s supply at the time they collect their medication, we will then arrange a collection date in 28 day’s time for you. This enables the dispensing team to order your medication in advance; allowing the supplier’s adequate time to fulfil our order during this time.

We thank you for your support and understanding

Consult with you GP online using eConsult

eConsult is a platform that Wallingbrook Health Group provides to allow patients to consult with their own NHS GP simply by completing a quick online form. It helps our GPs to deliver better access to our registered NHS patients by providing a round-the-clock portal where patients can enter their symptoms and receive instant self-help advice, together with signposting to NHS 111, pharmacies and other healthcare services.

We’re changing the way GP appointments are made

From Monday 9th March 2020, the way we arrange GP appointments is changing.

Instead of making appointments on request, we’ve introduced a system that will make it quicker and easier to get the help you need.

The new system – eConsult – allows you to tell us about your symptoms in an online form. We’ll then contact you by the end of the next working day to let you know the next step, which might be a face-to-face appointment.

If you’re unable to fill out an eConsult form, you can still phone your surgery (or walk in). A Patient Services Advisor will then ask some simple questions about your condition and fill out the form on your behalf.

Please submit non-urgent eConsults on the day your doctor is working. This increases continuity of care and means you’ll get a response from the GP that understands your problems.

The table below shows which days the GPs work.

This change applies to patients of Wallingbrook Health Centre and Winkleigh Surgery.

Isolation notes can be requested through the NHS website and NHS 111 online. After answering a few questions, an isolation note will be emailed to the user. If you don’t have an email address, you can have the note sent to a trusted family member or friend, or directly to your employer. Improved Access To Your GP Surgery

Mid Devon Health Logo

Patients across Mid Devon are now able to make routine appointments at a GP practice during evenings and at weekends.

The aim of the GP service is to make it easier for people to get an appointment at a time that suits them.

This scheme is an extension of the usual GP practice services, not a walk-in service, with people still needing to make an appointment if they want to see a GP in the evening or at the weekend.

Practices are working together to establish a service that meets the needs of the public, and GP practices will be promoting the service to patients.

If you are a patient registered at one of the practices listed on this page you will be able to book a routine appointment evenings and weekends with the participating practices on the timetable.

Please click here to view the participating practices timetable.

Appointments should be booked with the participating practice but if you have any comments or feedback regarding this service then please contact info@middevonhealthcare.co.uk

If so, our new extended hours service might be just the thing to help you.

We are now offering consultations some weekday mornings 7.30 - 8.00 am.
