Chulmleigh Dispensary Opening Hours from 06.04.2020

Following a couple of weeks of reduced Dispensary opening times we are now in a position to increase the opening hours.

From Monday 6 April 2020 our Dispensary will be open:

Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm.

Please bear in mind staff are working through the high volume of incoming medication requests and queries.         We thank you for your support and understanding.

Update to all patients – Coronavirus

Following the Governments announcement the practice would like to confirm the surgery opening times remain as normal, access to the surgery will be provided for pre-booked appointments only and a collection facility for prescriptions will be provided at each site.

  • To gain access for pre-booked appointments at Wallingbrook or Winkleigh Surgery, please knock on the door. Patients will not gain entry unless a pre-booked appointment has been made.
  • To collect a prescription at Wallingbrook or Winkleigh Surgery, please knock on the door and wait for a member of the team to assist.
  • To organise an appointment, please access and complete an eConsult or telephone the surgery on 01769 580295


These measures have been taken to protect the patients and staff in an attempt to maintain services delivered to our community.

eConsult is a platform that Wallingbrook Health Group provides to allow patients to consult with their own NHS GP simply by completing a quick online form. It helps our GPs to deliver better access to our registered NHS patients by providing a round-the-clock portal where patients can enter their symptoms and receive instant self-help advice, together with signposting to NHS 111, pharmacies and other healthcare services.

The Dispensary at Wallingbrook

I have just taken a call from a gentleman who just wanted to say how pleased he was with the practice and how well he was treated by Caroline Stapleton today at Winkleigh, she was very thorough and helpful and he felt he must let us know.

A patient told us that the consult she had in September had helped her so much. She was really appreciative of the trouble that was taken to explain everything in relation to her condition and said she “feels like a different person”. They said so many people are quick to complain so she wanted the Practice to receive praise as well.
